Welcome to the MoVe in Place: Calling All Generations volunteer central! On this portal, you will find everything you need to start making calls (guidelines, 5-minute training video, call script and senior numbers). Thank you for helping us accomplish the program goals of providing residents most vulnerable to Covid-19 with companionship and access to essential items (i.e. groceries and prescriptions). We depend on volunteers like you!


Please ensure you adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Before you begin making calls, watch the training webinar in full and complete the short form.

  • Senior contact information is confidential and should not be shared under any circumstances. 


Once you've watched the 5-minute training video in its entirety, complete the short exit survey here (this just lets us know you don't have any questions and are ready to roll!).

Frequently Asked Questions

1) When should I make the phone calls?

Between the hours of 9 AM - 7 PM  on weekdays

2) How long should my calls last?

Your phone call may last anywhere from a few minutes to upwards of an hour - the ultimate goal is to build a meaningful relationship, but if your senior does not pick up the phone, always leave a message!

3) What do I do if my senior asks me for more information on COVID-19?

Refer them to CDC guidelines - we are not doctors, so we cannot diagnose them or provide them with medical advice. If there is cause for concern, please call one of the emergency numbers

4) Can MoVE promise the delivery of any resources recorded during the needs assessment?

We cannot guarantee that any resources requested will be delivered, but we will try our best. MoVE is not currently conducting grocery or prescription deliveries ourselves, but are partnering with other organizations who may have limited capacity.
